The hand manufacturing of Sisswy bowties
Regarding our products, we rely heavily on the hand-made because we strongly believe in this method of manufacturing that allows the creation of « unique » objects.
Quick presentation
The manufacturing of our wooden bowties is made by hand by craftsmen used to work with wood. Every step is important and mutual help is ubiquitous in order to obtain perfect products.
The steps

- The selected woods are carried to the workshop
- These logs and trunks are then cut into pieces of wood in which bow node will be made
- These pieces of wood are checked to avoid knots and defects that may spoil the final object
- The bowtie is drawn on the pieces of wood to be cut
- The piece of wood is sanded with a sander
- Finishing of sanding by hand
- Application of the first coat of paint (if needed)
- Cleaning of every surfaces and light sanding
- Application of the second coat of paint (if needed)
- Drying the bowtie
- Engineered engraving of the logo
- Pasting of stickers (if the model requires it)
- Hand cutting of the fabric
